In The Livingroom

You can get a slightly
larger
version by clicking on the image
but I'm still not entirely
happy with the results I'm getting
here.
After all, I started with seven
60kb images and
the Photoshop animation technigue
turns it into 150 images.
Almost as bad as video.
Well, at least I've got
a handle
on
the uploading elsewhere and
linking process.

swivelhead version four

The next step is to
reduce the file size
.
I think I'll try
"swivelling"
between
keyframes and layers
...

swivelhead version two

Okay!
I had to put the animated gif
elsewhere on the web
then
edit the html link to it.
I had to work at that as I
really slacked off in my HTML
studies when I thought that I
could just Draw everything
in Flash.
(This was before Action Script 3 made me
fall out of love with Flash)

swivelhead version one

this is swivelhead version one
being new to cs5 I'll
try some other variations until I
get it right
or
give in
up
out
.

Preview of Digital Photo Based Collage #1

This is an "in progress sketch" of a work that I foresee
printed on canvas.
There may be a version of it that is printed twice, one piece torn into horizontal strips and one into vertical strips and then woven.
And a corner piece that is woven on a bent frame.
To photo document the final piece seems extremely circular -
photographing photographs ?
Of course, this jpeg will have evolved into a sculpture,
so it will deserve at least three shots-
from different angles.

The After Picture

Wow!
That was a long break -
so much has happened.
I am planning to simplify my web plans by putting more stuff on my Blog.
We'll see how the organization works,
I think I'll have to sketch it out on paper and then
translate to the digital version.
I don't seem to be able to work directly on my laptop
right now.
But for starters I'll add more pictures
and see how the balance of time, space, and soul work out ...
Even if some one in the other room is singing
while I try to do it.
